Family Support
At Eldwick Primary School, we believe that strong partnerships between home and school are key to a child’s success. Parents and carers play a vital role in their child’s learning, wellbeing, and development, and we are committed to working closely with families to support every child to thrive.
Our approach is grounded in national policy and best practice. The Department for Education (DfE) recognises that “parents are a child’s first and most enduring educators” and highlights the importance of schools engaging effectively with families to raise achievement and improve outcomes. The Ofsted Education Inspection Framework (EIF) also places emphasis on parental engagement, encouraging schools to build positive, collaborative relationships with parents and carers.
We offer a range of ways for parents to get involved and feel connected to school life, including:
-
Regular communication through ParentMail, and newsletters
-
Opportunities to support learning at home
-
Parent workshops and information sessions
-
Opportunities to volunteer in school or accompany trips
-
A welcoming and responsive school office team
We also welcome feedback and suggestions, and are always looking for ways to improve our home–school partnership. Together, we can ensure that every child has the support they need to reach their full potential.
